FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEWebpage Started, Started Inc ProcessWeb Work, Incorporation and IRS EIN Process Started17 June 2007 -- To make a charity organization in the US requires lots of paperwork, research and rule following. The Chairman of the Board, stated "The goal is that we can help others, give back some of what I have received over the last three decades in US Marine Corps, US Army, (Military and Civilian), Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Energy. I have met lots of solid professionals and I hope the Lint Center for National Security Studies, Inc will help the next generation." The paperwork is submitted for the incorporation, this is the first requirement before IRS will allow a tax exempt corporation. Without completing the process funds used to generate scholarships would be taxed each year without gain for future scholars. The reason for the IRS rules is to protect the public, therefore, we also support those rules. **UPDATE: Incorporation was completed 19 June 2007, the Bylaws 21 June 2007 and IRS Form 1023 Request for Tax Exemption sent 5 July 2007. 7 August 2007 Granted IRS 501 (c) (3) Tax Exempt Status effective 19 June 2007. (This is one of the fastest charity processing and was a first submission go with no additional queries.) For More Information Contact: Lint Center is listed in IRS "Additions to Publication 78" |
