Two scholarships, Jim & Anna Hyonjoo Lint Scholarship and the Virginia & Frank Misselhorn Memorial Scholarship defined

24 June 2007 -- This is the start of putting The Lint Center for National Security Studies mission statement into action. The initial year of capability will be in time for the start of school in August 2008, with a requirement for scholar submissions of 31 July 2008. The reason for next year initiation is that this is not well publicized yet, and we are waiting for IRS tax exempt status, which requires enormous amounts of paperwork, but is required to safeguard the public from unscrupulous charities. At that time, The Lint Center will receive further funding. Initial funding of the Jim & Anna Hyonjoo Lint Scholarship will be for a $1000 Scholarship, while it has not been determined the initial level of the Virginia Misselhorn Memorial Scholarship (Info Page). Both scholarships will have similar application criteria and it is envisioned future scholarships will increase after IRS 501(c)(3) approval. Candidates who do not win the Jim and Anna Hyonjoo Lint Scholarship will be eligible for other scholarships such as the Virginia & Frank Misselhorn Memorial Scholarship administered by the Lint Center.

The Lint Center of National Security Studies, Inc encourages participation of all students/scholars of any race, color or national or ethnic origin.

Scholarship submission dates are twice a year in January and July.
